About us

Careers › Project Manager

Code d'Or is looking for a Project Manager to strengthen our team. Our clients are regional, national or multi-national - and come to Code d'Or for a range of services and solutions, always with a focus on Interactive communication.

As a Project Manager, you make sure the client's project is delivered as defined in terms of scope, requirements and timing. While communicating with the client, you also help to define a project, and you service the client where possible. You can grow into an Interactive Consultant as your experience grows, taking on more projects of a higher level if they become available. The more projects you can bring home, the better - but that is not your primary task.

Technical profile

  • You manage the projects for our clients, small and large alike.
  • You are the first point of contact for a project stakeholder and/or a client.
  • You help define tickets and issues in Redmine, the issue management system we use internally.
  • You document project details and document workflows and milestones in Redmine.
  • You make reports based on time spent, and help prepare invoicing for the projects you manage.
  • You keep an eye on the project workflow, and make sure scope definitions and requirements are met.
  • You make planning documents, and help organise the resources that are available.
  • You follow up on deadlines, open issues, bugfixes, requirements and project scopes for multiple projects at once, and for multiple clients.
  • Your role as a project manager is to facilitate communication between Developers and the Designers on one side, and the client on the other.
  • You adapt your verbal and written communication towards clients, colleagues, suppliers and/or stakeholders.

Additional

  • You'll be working with Interactive Designers and Interactive Developers, and your input is used by the whole team.
  • You need at least a little bit of a technical background to understand our services and our business model.
  • You have a good understanding of the Internet and ideally, you are familiar with open-source software.
  • You have affinity with web development, relational databases, procedures for online projects, and everything in between.
  • You help testing previews, and document bugs and their behaviour.
  • You help with content input if applicable, and perform quality control on the projects delivered to the client.
  • You're able to analyse website statistics, and are familiar with online marketing.
  • You have a good clue about social media, and use them to your client's advantage.

Personal profile

  • You are proactive, and you are in control of your projects.
  • You take responsability for your projects, and for your colleagues.
  • You can cope with stress, which is sometimes inevitable at launch time.
  • You give advice for the projects you're managing, on as many levels as possible.
  • You learn on the job, and you invest in your own career as much as you can.
  • You have a life besides the internet, but being a reference online sure won't hurt.
  • You are a good communicator. You understand different people have different goals, and act or react accordingly.
  • You can speak, understand and write Dutch, English and French fluently, or at least you can make yourself understood in a professional manner.

Professional status

  • You have at least some affinity with the internet as a medium, and proven experience in the field as an account manager.
  • You're used to work with the internet as a communication medium, and know the dangers and opportunities.
  • If you don't have that experience - try and convince us that you're worth it - we might give you an internship first, if necessary.
  • You're looking for a full-time job, as people will be depending on you for a lot of projects and tasks.
  • You don't mind visiting clients once in a while, on location - for meetings and evaluations.
  • We accept interns for this position as well.

Offering

  • Intellectual challenges, and the chance to grow with the company.
  • Your salary will depend on the experience you can add to the team.
  • You get great colleagues who go the extra mile for your project.
  • A comfortable work location in Gent, easily reachable by public transport, bike or car
  • Flexible work hours, as long as the work gets done properly, and as planned
  • An estimate of 2 hours a week of research or working on a pet project when you start working as an employee
