Code d'Or has launched the new Erasmundus GEM website for Universite Libre de Bruxelles (ULB).

Available at www.erasmundus-gem.eu, the website not only offers a lot of information about the courses and fellowships at the department. As an aside, Code d'Or streamlined the whole Call for Applications process in a digital format. Aspiring students and/or fellows can now apply online, using a set of forms that can be tailored to each education program's needs, year after year, through the CMS Code d'Or provided. Applying is only half of the setup though - the administrative team handling incoming proposals can now also use the input data for statistical analysis, a module which will be finalized in the fourth quarter of 2011.

Administrators also have multiple validation tools at their disposal, making sure only compliant forms are being sent in. An PDF can be generated on demand, combining all the information for an applying student in one simple format for professors and teachers to use as an evaluation tool. In the fourth quarter, more features will be added: Code d'Or will be providing the GEM community of researchers with tools like a document sharing repository, the ability to comment and discuss academic papers, the options to share research with other institutes, and similar functionality that is being scoped as we're writing this.
