The whole Pret-a-dormir.be webshop has been constructed from the ground up with CakePHP, based on a workflow established alongside with the client. As Pret-a-dormir.be is part of a broader offering of the brick-and-mortar-store www.noppeslaapcultuur.be - it was also necessary to be able to manage stock when items were sold instore, when discounts were only given online, etc.

Code d'Or helped to provide advice where necessary, as there is a big difference between online sales and selling wares in a close contact with a visitor in the real-world shop. Mailing and Google AdWord campaigns are being started to get the promotion going: it is of the utmost importance that visitors get to know the new Pret-a-dormir.be brand, and just offering the webshop itself, on it's own, is never enough in such a case.

The setup for online financial transaction handling is based on the Ogone platform - which allows the client to select multiple ways of getting a payment done. The results of the financial transactions themselves are integrated into the CMS, with clear overview of paid sums, and payments due - as to be able to handle the accounting and stock for the whole webshop, as well as for the brick-and-mortar store.
