Email campaigns and newsletters
A lot of our clients regularly use email as a communication tool to reach their customers and visitors. While the death of mailings and newsletters has been predicted for quite some time now, we still find it a good way of reaching a dedicated audience that wants to be updated regarding activities, actions, promotions, etc. There are other ways as well of course, but still - sometimes it's hard to beat a regular newsletter sent out to your subscribers.
About two years ago, after writing and maintaining a couple of custom-made solutions for our clients, we decided to start using the services of CampaignMonitor. Since that decision, we've been phasing out existing projects, and steadily migrated all homegrown development to an integrated CampaignMonitor offering. As a service provider, they keep improving their own software, mailing infrastructure and solutions, which has become kind of a specialisation on it's own lately.
CampaignMonitor also provides an extensive API - which allows us to develop custom solutions that can be integrated in a website, without visitors noticing this integration. You can find a complete overview of the features offeredin this guided tour. A demonstration of their WorldView monitoring application is also pretty interesting - our clients can now view the emails being accessed in real-time if they want to, which is ideal for those people kicking on statistics.
There are also a lot of things people don't realize when they want to send out a newsletter or when they create an email campaign, especially regarding SPAM regulations. CampaignMonitor is pretty clear on the permissions that have to be obtained, and establishes a framework for what is allowed, and what isn't.
We're happy with the services and solutions CampaignMonitor is offering us, and our clients seem to enjoy using it too. If you're interested or if you would like a demonstration of how Code d'Or can integrate CampaignMonitor services for you, do let us know - we'd be more than happy to have a talk about it.
